In Korea, all men are required to serve in the military when they are over 19 years old for about 18 months. There are a few excepts. We used to call those people with the 'exceptins' as 'God's son'.
Pianist Yunchan Lim has become God's son for himself.
Why?

If he has earned the honor of South Korea, such as winning a gold medal or winning a world class sporting events like the World Cup, the Olympics and Asian Games. So it is very important for athlets in their 20's to compete in international competirions and perfrom well. This is because there is a great benfit of being exeptedfrom military service along with the joy of winning itself.
